About the Artist

Margaret Sanzo Sneddon is a polished professional harpist whose experience, skill, poise, wide repertoire and warm personal touch will add a touch of class to your wedding or special event. Margaret began playing at the age of eight and studied for many years with Ruth Negri Armato of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.


In addition to a busy schedule of weddings, special events, teaching and concerts, she has played in the orchestra for productions of The Fantastics, Carousel, My Fair Lady, Once Upon a Mattress, South Pacific and, A Grand Night for Singing. She also played for President Bill Clinton at National Hall in Connecticut.


Margaret was founder and director of The Hudson Harp Consort, an ensemble of harps and chapter of the International Society of Folk Harpists and Craftsmen.

She is also a certified therapeutic music practitioner on celtic harp through the Music for Healing and Transition Program.


For a number of years, Margaret traveled the world as the on-board harp soloist for Radisson Seven Seas Cruise Lines, Celebrity Cruise Lines and as a guest artist on Delta Queen Riverboats.


Margaret has an extensive repertoire of music of every description from Classical, Celtic, and Church music to Pop Standards and Show tunes.


With her wealth of experience and personal touch, she can help you select the perfect music for your wedding ceremony, cocktail party, or any special occasion.

Margaret Sneddon often works with her husband, William. They perform together as the Hudson Heights Duo.

In addition to flutes and whistles, William Sneddon plays oboe, clarinet, English horn saxophones (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone) and bag-pipes. He has a master of music in performance from the University of Michigan and was formerly a professor of music at Western Kentucky University. Before moving to New York City, he played in "For Me and My Gal" and for "Music, Music, Music" starring Brenda Lee at Opryland in Nashville, TN.


Upon coming to New York, Bill began a career of playing on Broadway. In addition to playing woodwinds in "A Class Act" and the Lincoln Center production of "Dessa Rose", he has appeared regularly in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular" and in Broadway productions of "The Producers", "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels", "Thoroughly Modern Millie", "42nd Street", "Curtains", "Assassins", "The Boy From Oz", "The Wedding Singer", "Victor Victoria", "Bombay Dreams", "Crazy for You", "Guys and Dolls", "Tarzan", "The Drowsy Chaperon", "A Chorus Line", and "Legally Blond". He also toured with "Les Mis" and recorded the English Horn solos for the Mirmax film, "City of Industry" starring Harvey Keitel.
